The BC Chamber of Commerce (The Chamber) is registered under the Societies Act (British Columbia) as a volunteer, not-for-profit association and serves its members as the provincial federation of autonomous community chambers of commerce, boards of trade and corporate members.
Known to have been in operation as early as March 1867, the Chamber was re-established in 1951 to promote and improve trade, commerce and the economic and social welfare of the people of British Columbia, and to develop and present a true cross-section of opinions of the BC business community to the provincial government and, in some areas of national importance, to the federal government.
Published for more than thirty years, BCBusiness continues to evolve. They remain a leader in the magazine market, consistently earning kudos on the local and national stages. Their objective is to provide readers with relevant, comprehensive, and provocative commentary on the issues, trends, and people shaping business in British Columbia.
